ATDA HOSTS THE LUCKY WINNER OF ITB
Тo increase Armenia’s tourism product awareness around the world and to position Armenia as a new and attractive travel destination the Armenian Tourism Development Agency (ATDA) organized “Win a free trip to Armenia� draw during its participation at the prestigious International Tourism Exhibition (ITB 2004).

The trip winner Mehdi Langanke, the planning and contracting manager of TUI arrived in Yerevan on Tuesday, May 25th, 2004 and stayed in Armenia until Monday, May 31st, 2004. The sponsors of the "Win a Free Trip to Armenia" project were Austrian Airlines who provided a free ticket for two and Bass hotel who presented the winner with free 7 day accommodation in Yerevan. During his visit to Armenia Mr. Langanke was introduced to Armenia’s eclectic cultural treasures and natural wonders, visited Garni and Geghard, admired Khor Virap and Noravank monasteries and left Armenia with unforgettable impressions about this little country full of historical and cultural heritage.

ITB Berlin is a prime venue and marketplace for all sectors of the global tourism trade, including hotels, ticketing professionals, tour agencies and operators, airlines, car rental companies, as well as a slew of other related industry retailers and advertising interests.

ATDA showcased Armenia and the Armenian tourism industry at the International Tourism Bourse in Berlin from March 12 to the 16, 2004 for the fourth consecutive year.

By representing Armenia at such events and conferences, as well as organizing familiarization trips to Armenia for travel writers, tour operators and agents, sponsoring festivals and special events, ATDA has been able to develop a successful, multi-tiered approach toward tourism development.
